Long Weekend

I kicked off the long weekend by getting out at noon today (yay Summer Fridays!) followed by eating a chorizo quesadilla from El Oasis (two days in a row), fixing my shitty nails with a dip nail manicure and popping by Retail Therapy which seems to be more like a daily occurrence now. I just love that shop and especially the Old Town area this time of year. I’ve been treating myself to butterfinger flurries at Arctic Corner, just down the road from the shop. I just can’t deny myself when it’s so good and just $3.25. Read More »

Summer Style

Summer is officially here and I’ve been staring at this off the shoulder top I bought two months ago and finally decided to take it out for a Saturday full of mundane errands with Cole. I love the look of it, but once I tried it on, I realized how impractical it actually is and I just haven’t felt like dealing with it, until Saturday. Something about being overdressed Home Depot and Target motivated me to wear it.

I have a much better balance now–I go to the beach, wear SPF and love a good spray tan. Read More »

Mini Guide to Pittsburgh!

Steel City

Pittsburgh is a beautiful city. I love the hills, steeply sloped neighborhoods, bridges and anywhere you look, there’s a magnificent view. It seems to me it’s a bit underrated. Much more scenic than most cities I’ve visited and it’s affordable to visit.

Now that my friend moved to one of the suburbs in the Pittsburgh area, I’ve made more frequent trips and with my recent car issue, I made back-to-back plans to return to then retrieve my car–and extra plans to make the most of it.

As a tourist, I’m sharing a few of my favorite places in Pittsburgh to visit. Check out my mini guide Read More »

A Quick Trip to Shadyside

To Pittsburgh!

In an attempt to make my back-to-back Pittsburgh travels more enjoyable, Cole accompanied me and I booked us a cute hotel, walkable to lots of great shops and restaurants like Adda’s Coffee and Tea House. I was in a grumpy ass mood for about a week, but didn’t want this unplanned trip to feel like a chore, even though it was (to retrieve my car that broke down last weekend.) Read More »

City Vibes

I’ve been on a Sex and the City kick lately. I’ve watched most of the censored episodes out of order in syndication as a teen, but I recently started binge watching them starting with season one and everything in my life I now immediately relate to the show. Like this outfit. I feel so Carrie. Read More »
