After a hectic week and Saturday, I spent the first half of my day in bed watching last season’s Project Runway. Instead of waking up early and going through the motions of my normal routine, I was like nah I’ll skip this morning’s workout, sleep in, eat a donut in bed and watch TV. And it was delightful. My mom and I got up at 4 a.m. pacific time en route to Big Sur. With last summer’s fire and recent landslides, our trip to Big Sur wasn’t what we originally planned. We tacked on an extra hour to get there and missed out on some spots I was hoping to see, but there was still plenty of great views! We even spotted a sea otter, my mom’s one hope this trip. We traveled as far as we could into Big Sur and stopped to see our first Redwoods before spending the day in Carmel/Monterrey and staying overnight in Santa Cruz. Read More »
