As much I appreciate summer beach days and carefree summer style, I’m officially ready to turn the page. Pre-fall is that perfect in-between season where my style starts to shift—light layers, earthy tones, and effortlessly cool pieces take center stage. It’s my favorite time of year to reset my wardrobe and lean into casual looks that feel cozy yet pulled together. Think relaxed denim, oversized knits, soft button-downs, and mules and suede boots.
Now is when I start curating those go-to pieces that carry me into fall, focused on comfort and casual yet effortless.
All about chocolate tones
I love a closet full of neutrals, but currently coveting all brown shades, especially chocolate like the sambas below. It’s a classic style I’m not ready to give up since they’re easy to style and beyond comfortable.
I’m also on the hunt for a chocolate bag and made my wish to my Hermes sales associate, so here’s hoping! I was offered a mini Evelyne in chocolate, but ended up choosing the summer shade craie with gold hardware, a combo harder to come by.
Effortless Layers
I have an abundance of cardigans so don’t think I need to really add anything to my closet for fall, but excited to update my closet, rotating in all oversized sweaters and cozy cardigans. The look below really captures a low key, effortless vibe I’m going for as I transition to a little fall in my wardrobe.

Shoe Styles I’m Eyeing
I desperately want another pair of mules with some shearling for fall to join my other pair of much worn mules and loafers I wear on repeat most of the year.
Also on the hunt for another pair of workout shoes to style this fall. Not so much for a workout, but to dress down outfits come fall.
Barrel Pants + Jeans
I’m still on the barrel pant and jean trend and just bought another pair of jeans and then my first pair of sweatpants in the style. I’m hoping to style them for the office and dress them up with a mule or down with a baseball cap and tee.

A Little Extra Something
I’ve been yearning for more pops of color from shoes to bag to backpacks. I’ve got a couple blue pairs of sneakers, but also eyeing the light blue weekender bag linked above. I love a little unexpected color in my neutral fall wardrobe. I’m also incorporating little pops of color with bag charms and necklaces, there are so many options with the bag charms, beaded colorful necklaces and even beaded phone straps.
