The cold and rainy weather continued into the second day of Texas Style Council and I realize just how high maintenance I am in a campground setting with rain and no continuous source of Red Bull. But above the rain and my whines, I really appreciated the actual camp and just how laid back it was. I met so many genuinely kind and funny people and I was able to reunite with my own blogger friends.
I didn’t get dressed for the first half of the day, opting to stay in my leggings and sweatshirt I wore to bed, but once I did, I went for a more bohemian look that suited our setting pretty well. I served as a moderator with Yen
to talk about using your online skills/presence and how to apply those skill sets to your real, offline life. We wanted to share different perspectives with Merl’s journey to designing jewelry and her shudio space to Yen’s vintage clothing shop. It was all about reminding everyone blogging doesn’t have to be the end all be all, you can use this to help launch other passions and hobbies or take you further into your career, whatever that may be.
