Rainy Day Plaid

Plaid Love

This plaid shift dress has been remixed quite a bit in the last couple weeks. I styled it with faux leather leggings the week before and an oversize black vest and for weekend wear, I tucked it into high waist jeans and added a leather jacket. My mom and I met up in Grand Rapids, popped over to Madcap Coffee and then Milbrook for a fall tack sale and ended our GR date eating soup and chicken tenders for lunch. Read More Β»

Winter Plaid

Since I was off in Dallas over the holiday, I celebrated Christmas late and gift giving last week when I returned home and wore this amazing oversized plaid tunic that cuts up on the side with a pair of jeans and clearance loafers I scooped up from Zara. I snagged these pretty cool sunglasses from Kendi’s shop, West & Lou (and Kyle’s mom got me a necklace and sweater from there too for me!)
I’m back at work today and not quite ready to get back into the routine. I enjoyed bumming around the last week and a half, sleeping in, overeating..Ah, wonderful. I also slept so well. My sister watched James for a full week and each night I could sleep in any position without hitting a pup or get woken up every couple hours in the middle of the night by a cuddly dog wanting under the covers. But, I can only bum around for so long without becoming bored and I did miss James. I’ve realized it’s good for me to actually relax and do shit for at least a few days. Well, I suppose I am ready for my routine!

Stripes + Plaid

Barbecue food, ice cream..Sunday was all about good food and treats. I didn’t realize how humid it was before I dressed myself, but I liked the print mixing too much to nix a layer or change altogether. Plus, I have to mentally and physically prepare myself for hot hot weather for this week’s trip to Dallas. Kyle and I are riding down with his mom who’s moving back to Dallas. I’ve decided that I’ll be leaving my camera equipment behind on this trip so I don’t stress myself about capturing perfect moments when I should just enjoy my time there. I get too high strung on that sort of thing and I’ll save my camera for visiting Seattle and Vancouver later this month. I’ll share fun stuff on Instagram and Snapchat (username: kerbuski) though!
