Hey there Blonde Beadhead readers! I’m Lora, a Chicago-based writer, vintage hound, and mother to a trio of quadrupeds. I’m also a friend and big fan of miss Andrea. I’m so pumped to be guest blogging for Michigan’s foxiest lady, as any friends of hers, internet or otherwise, are friends I’m going to steal for myself.
I had grandiose plans to do something exciting for this post to give you all some quality eye candy. I was going to document my dog and I frolicking in Lake Michigan or get all gussied up and sip a fancy cocktail at one of Chicago’s old-school jazz bars. But like most of my plans, they fell through thanks to marathon training, a heavy workload (my subconscious almost made me write “heavy flow,” which would have also been true. And that can’t be TMI because we’re friends now, remember?), and all the Orange Is The New Black episodes I was forced to watch after Laura goddamn Prepon stole my heart. So instead of pretty photos of my neighborhood in Chicago, you get me jumping around outside the Chinese restaurant my hubs and I went to for dinner. To be honest though, this is probably a much better representation of who I am anyhow; a bonafied city girl who loves twirly vintage dresses and eating way past the point of being comfortable.
If you feel so inclined, stop by and say hi over at Hungry Heart Vintage! Thanks so much for having me, Andrea! Don’t be gone for too long, now, you hear?
