After wearing these jeans last Friday, I’ve realized how much I love a good pair of flared jeans. I styled them simply for work with a silk top and a leopard print coat and wore this out that night for a trip to the movie theater. A simple outfit for a simple, relaxed day.

I’ve noticed a trend of the gratuitous tight-black-dress-posts on the blog and I will continue it this year. This is actually what I wore on New Years Eve, but it was cold that day. And I was whiny. So the pictures didn’t happen. Last weekend happened to be warm and while I was still whiny, I could at least put the dress back on to show you how I styled it. It was quite simple really, heels, the cape and these things called breast petals.
Jack looked dapper, it’s a shame I couldn’t photograph him in all his suit jacket glory. He did have one minor meltdown when he realized he didn’t pack the appropriate dress shoes. We were able to make some last minute changes to his outfit so he could still feel dressed up (the man loves a suit.) We had a fun time that night celebrating with friends, unscathed by the dress shoe incident.

Warm Day for January

I photographed my old boss lady’s wedding this past Saturday, but before that, I wanted to enjoy the 50+ degree weather and ran some errands with Jack in this cozy outfit. Jack declared he needed a black sweater for an outfit he envisioned (kind of like this one here I pinned) for the wedding since he was invited as a guest. We shopped for a bit before I changed into an all black ensemble, my typical photog look.
I really wanted to wear flats with this outfit, but my legs just look and feel better in a pair of heels! And I thought I should take advantage of the weather and wear some shoes I’ll need to pack away for a couple months. And damn it, the snow and ice has already returned. It’s hard to imagine it was even possible for me to wear this outfit two days ago.

Young Blood

For casual drinks after work on a Tuesday night, leather pants seemed appropriate. So I wore them. Paired with a simple white tee, burgundy leather jacket and these cap toe booties, it’s one of my favorite outfits. At this point, my friends know that this all leather outfit on a Tuesday is commonplace for me. Back when I worked for the ad agency, I’d go to work in an outfit in this. It’s not at all something I can get away with now and so I’ll wear them as often as I can on weeknights and weekends.

3 Year Blogiversary!

I dug through the archives to bring you the many colors and shapes of this bedhead throughout the years to celebrate the three years (and technically one day) since I started Blonde Bedhead. The further I delved into my past, the more I felt like an asshat. Thanks to friends, family and internet strangers who have visited this blog. I really appreciate your support throughout the years!
