A Ladylike Look

I was going for that ladylike look last Sunday and so I styled this printed and lace cardigan with a pretty flare skirt and nude heels. I love the asymmetrical print on the cardigan (makes it feel less typical girly cardigan even if it is 50 percent lace) and since I tried a spray tan last week, I wanted to show off my temporary tan in a skirt.

Pere Marquette

I was just browsing around last month when I spotted this dress and I swear I heard birds chirping and other wistful “buy me”-like sounds. Yes, those sounds do exist. And yes, I bought it.
I wore this a couple weekends ago to eat chili dogs in Muskegon at my favorite local fast food chain and later for drinks with a small group of friends at a downtown restaurant patio. Can’t go wrong with a sweetheart neckline and a double slit.

I’m a sucker for anything black and white, which is why I love this particular dress so much. I styled it in my typical fashion: leather jacket + bright heels for a bridal shower and a trip to Grand Rapids to visit friends. It’s the perfect summer dress, no fuss and easy to style.

A Little Mangover

I refreshed an outfit with inspiration from mangos and I love the pops of color it adds to an otherwise minimal look. Besides the colorful accessories, I’m also wearing Essie’s Mango Bango on the nails, naturally and Clinique’s Heftiest Hibiscus. I’ve had so much fun creating this mangover and reminds to be a little more playful in my styling (note: try to incorporate more color!)

Girls’ Night

This dress seamlessly transitioned from work to girls night. For work, I styled the dress with a black leather jacket and black heels, but it was a little dull. I wanted to liven it up with color and pattern for the girls, so I styled it with cobalt blue and a leopard clutch. In true rebel form, I ditched the slip and didn’t think twice about my friends perhaps catching a glimpse of my underwear.
