Minted & Gilded

Minted!

My bedroom remains unfinished, one of two rooms that need a little TLC still, but my dresser space is exactly what I wanted it to be.

I partnered with Minted to add this new gold framed art piece, Reach by Carrie ONeal, to my dresser collection. And also to share a little promotion going on–20% off all foil pressed products included foil pressed wall art like this piece using code SHINE. For more details, visit Minted. I love this wall art piece, how it seamlessly fits in my bedroom and I chose a gold frame to make it pop a bit against the wall. Read More »

A New Series

I’ve decided that in order to make 2017 my bitch, I have to do what works for me. I’m not a DIYer or any sort of visionary. I just get shit done. Thus, I introduce you the Lazy Bitch guides that I’ll share as I randomly realize I have some wisdom to share. This post isn’t so much for lazy bitches, but for anyone who can relate to a grumpy lady who whines and wants to stop.

First, up: Resolutions. Read More »

Winter Essentials: Shopping Guide

2016-11-10_08-48-03

  1. Lysse Leggings, $108. These leggings are such great quality (and worth the price I promise) and I pulled the trigger last year and bought them–and I wear them at least once a week to work with an oversized sweater. I love the seam details that make them a bit more dressy–and I’d love to add a pair of the brown ones to my Lysse legging collection.
  2. Faux Leather Biker Jacket, $100. Rich color, faux fur collar. What’s not to love?
  3. Leopard Print Coat, $160. I have a couple vintage leopard print coats that I wear in high rotation during the winter and this one seems just as perfect as the one I have that mixes well with solid colors or prints.
  4. Stretch Over the Knee Boot, $99.95. These Steve Madden babies are slim and sleek..and I need them. Great reviews online and love that they’re under $100.
  5. Circle Crossbody Bag, $195. This Rebecca Minkoff circle bag is the light cross body you need to toss over a heavy coat. I’m having a moment with circle bags and this one is a classic–and I love the color (and it also comes in black.)
  6. Large Scarf, $12.99. My favorite winter accessory: an oversized plaid scarf.
  7. Edit Booties, $89.95. Not the most practical for wet winter in Michigan, but this pair of velvet look boots in navy..A nice change from the standard black pairs we all have in our closets.
  8. V-neck Sweater, $14.99. This sweater wouldn’t normally excite me, until I notice the crossover straps on the neckline. A little more playful than my oversized sweaters or boxy cropped sweaters.

I’ve decided to fully embrace the cold this year (rest of 2016..I’ll change my mind winter 2017..) and stock up on the items that bring me warmth and happiness like a fresh pair of slippers or delicious dark chocolate. I have a fireplace at my home now so I envision many nights lounging by the fire in cozy joggers or pajamas! Read More »
