Bridal Shower Style with Lulu*s

DSC_5133
Traditional bridal showers of course have their place, but I was thrilled that my friends Rachael and Tom wanted to have something a little more casual for the bridal party and close friends. My friend Liz, the matron of honor and one of the most amazing hostesses I know, organized the “Stock the Party” at her home. We brought booze for gifts and enjoyed an array of cheeses and meats, cocktails and an assortment of sweet treats displayed throughout her house. She set up a long table on her patio and we had all kinds of wine and appropriate pairings passed around.
For the party, I wanted to wear something bright and no fuss. A shift dress was the solution. To make it a little more edgy, I added the black lace up heels and accessorized with gold.

Yeah, this is awesome. Love bridal showers that are more laid-back. Ours definitley was and so was the wedding. And your dress!! It's one of those fantastic pieces you can dress up or down and just get a ton of wear out of it! <3

Plus, thank you for your RAD comment on my "Thoughts on Blogging" post, Andrea. You're definitley someone I admire hugely. You're always genuine and it shows in your blog. Thank you for the love, sending it back tenfold!! xoxo

How fun! I love the colors in your dress. You'd think it'd be overwhelming on but it seriously looks perfect! The decorations at the party are too cute!

That dress is adorable! Such a great summer look. I can see switching it up for daytime with a leather jacket and boots…
    Great photos!

I love the pattern of this dress and I especially love how it would have been so feminine and sweet, but you toughened it up with the shoes. I really like that contrast, I think it makes the outfit more interesting and more your style.

Sounds like a really fun party!
