Suit Up

Well, it was time I got out of the wearing-leggings-to-work look and strut into work in a power suit, of course on the day I announce my resignation to the board. I accepted a new position as director of public relations for Olympia Group in the metro Detroit area. I won't be relocating until summer, but super excited to live in a new city and take on some cool new opportunities.
I will miss my colleagues, particularly my office mom who shed one single tear when I shared the news with her, my polar opposite friend who shares the same name as me (Andrea) and Hannah, my fabulous communications assistant. Hannah started as an intern with me last summer and if you know me, I get so attached to all my interns and my work people. I often refer to Hannah as "My Hannah" instead of my communications assistant like any normal person. My favorite part of my job now is the managing the internship program and I hope I can start one with the new employer.

*Side note, I did change back into leggings and a sweater after my board meeting since it's snowing like crazy and my feet were cold :(

Congrats on the new position, that's so exciting!! Isn't it the worst leaving behind the colleagues you love?? I did it just a few years ago and I still miss them!! <3 And your outfit is off the charts beautiful lovey!! So, so good! xoxo

Congrats and good luck on the new position and location! How exciting! But I understand how hard it can be to leave the people behind. I've been at the same law firm for four and a half years and I'm about to take maternity leave and might not be back! It's gonna be hard! I love your flower power suit!

Congratulations! I know the fear and excitement that goes with handing in a resignation, but you did it and you should be damn proud!

Can't wait to hear about D-Town!

Dang it lady! I feel like we just got you back from another big city! But, I wish you well on your new journey, I know you will do well. Also, BTW, thanks for taking a few minutes with Kelsey the other day. She told me you are awesome, to which I could only say, "no duh!"

Wow! Congratulations Andrea! That's awesome. I hope you love your new job. Also, that suit is 'amazing'. I agree though- it's hard to look fashionable for long when it's SO cold and snowy out. Some days I just give up. :/ Come quickly, spring!

Love the print on this. I don't think I could wear something this bold but absolutely pull it off!
