To brighten up my week, I knew I needed some color in my work wear. I've been trying to balance my job and another position in the office and Wednesday was one of those long days where no one seemed to show any kindness, I couldn't get work done due to meetings and other interruptions and was at my wits end. And then I had to prepare myself for an on-camera interview with a TV station. Luckily, my interview went well and after a board meeting, I could finally retire back to my apartment to watch some creepy shows on the Investigation Discovery channel.
I absolutely love this lace peplum top. It's just so delicate and feminine. I decided to pair it with mint pants and layer on a leather jacket and a faux fur vest to stay warm in the 24 degree weather. I'm off to Chicago for the weekend and I packed some springy things, that I know I probably won't get to wear unfortunately. I'm hopeful though!

Absolutely stunning top! Love how you styled it :)
Love the lace top and how you made something feminine more edgy with the leather and fur. You are always good at putting a good twist on a feminine item. The mint pants are fab too!

i love the juxtaposition of the last image... the soft delicate cream lace of your blouse, ephemeral, against the permanent black ink of your tattoo. beautiful.

I usually go for really large, chunky necklaces, but this necklace is so divine! Very interesting gathering (for lack of a better way to say it?)....statement piece for sure!
Have fun in Chicago!!
It's still pretty cold in Chicago. Please bring some warmth with you.
Andrea what a wonderful look! I should pull out of mu wardrobe my color jeans as well. I just can't wait for spring to come. Past 3days all we got was a heavy rain non stop.Today just feel yuck.
