Birthday Wear

DSC_6787
Turning 27 wasn't the most exciting thing to happen to me this year. It seems just like yesterday I was excited to turn 17 and sneak out to a college party. And now, I go to bed at 9:30 p.m. and get excited about buffets and new episodes of Downton Abbey. Luckily, my friends were sweet and planned dinner at an italian restaurant to celebrate my birthday, followed by a trip to Sugar Berry for some frozen yogurt. It was the perfect low-key night and I was able to easily transition this outfit from work to birthday festivities.
I picked up these pants during the Zara sale in Las Vegas and couldn't be more happy that I rolled the dice and waited for them to go on sale and still be available in my size. I've also been wearing this Claire Verity hat nonstop. It's been so cold and I've neglected to color my roots that it's been serving a dual purpose!

Happy belated birthday! I think a low key night in AMAZING pants is a perfect way to ring in 27. I completely feel you on the 9:30pm / downton abbey side of things too haha, I am right there with you.
Have a good Monday!

Happy belated Birthday! You look super cute as usual. Glad you had some fun! I turned 27 this year too and I totally know what you mean! But let's focus on the positive, we may feel like we're getting older but we're actually still young and totally chic ;P

those are absolutely incredible birthday slacks; surprising they were still around for a sale, but what luck for you!

my birthday was spent with family, getting maturely drunk on fine manhattans and french chardonnay, then watching something on tv and snuggling with my parent's cat. since then, much of my weekends have been devoted to either "downton abbey" or "game of thrones" (highly recommend). late 20s are great like that.

happy birthday.

Happy Birthday! Also I hope you were serious about going to bed at 9:30 sometimes. I turn 34 this year, and I have FORCED myself to become a working gym person and this necessitates my getting up at 5:55 a.m. in order to accommodate my 30 min. commute.

But I feel very unglamorous needing to be in bed that early. I seem to be the only office worker with a commute among my closest set of friends, so they think I am a buzzkill.

Ok, you KNOW I love this. And the nails. I have the silver version. I suppose now I have to get the gold. Why do you do this to me, Andrea?!
