I've noticed a trend of the gratuitous tight-black-dress-posts on the blog and I will continue it this year. This is actually what I wore on New Years Eve, but it was cold that day. And I was whiny. So the pictures didn't happen. Last weekend happened to be warm and while I was still whiny, I could at least put the dress back on to show you how I styled it. It was quite simple really, heels, the cape and these things called breast petals.
Jack looked dapper, it's a shame I couldn't photograph him in all his suit jacket glory. He did have one minor meltdown when he realized he didn't pack the appropriate dress shoes. We were able to make some last minute changes to his outfit so he could still feel dressed up (the man loves a suit.) We had a fun time that night celebrating with friends, unscathed by the dress shoe incident.

I have to agree with the others, you look amazing in that dress! It shows off your curves and is still very elegant.
great minds think alike.... i, too, wore a very fitted black dress for nye, with a sort of deep-v,shawl collar and long sleeves. very 1960s silhouette, with wedges and some glitter.
i'm sure, between the two of you, any fashion foibles are approached resourcefully and solved quickly!
