Bubblegum

It was Restaurant Week in Kalamazoo last week, so of course, fine dining at an unbelievable discount was in order. And so was dressing up. I've spent this summer in cut offs eating at taco trucks, that it was a nice change from the usual summer routine.
I was saving this dress for a special occasion--it's a little too short for work, but it was perfect for a dinner date AND it is really comfortable. Because the flowy dress and necklace added so much color, I kept my shoes and the rest of my accessories neutral and simple.

Twirl

It's been so hot that something as light, airy and incredibly short as this dress, makes sense. I styled this dress to wear this weekend and I added a pair of sparkly heels and a neutral bag, which will be perfect for dinner. It's been a super busy week and so this weekend, I will be spending it outdoors in pretty dresses, eating hot dogs and drinking beer.

Back to Bad Ass

I took a break from the cut offs and boots last week to explore a more feminine side of my style through wearing an obscene amount of pink. And now I remind you of what I might wear during a trip to Target with my mom. These boots were a staple of mine last fall when I worked for the ad agency. Unfortunately, I don't think I could be taken serious at my job today with them.  But, I can still wear cut offs and spiked boots after work, which is precisely what I do.

Weekend Casual

This shirt does nothing for my body shape, yet I keep wearing it and wearing ever since I picked it up a couple weekends ago and fell into a deep t-shirt love and infatuation. This outfit is pretty basic, it's something I've now worn a handful of times with a pair of flats and no jewelry. But for dinner last Saturday, I jazzed it up with some incredibly high wedges with a fun print and a lot of accessories from my new watch and necklace. I'd also like to report, I have not yet stained this shirt, which is a true feat for me.

Saugatuck

Very rarely do I take off time to do absolutely nothing. The thought of not keeping busy and having plans seems like a wasted vacation day (I'm enough of a lazy person, spending weeknights on my couch), but last week I took a couple days off after the holiday and I have to say, it was difficult to return to work this week! One of my free days was spent in Saugatuck, Mich., a quaint West Michigan beach town with cute shops, art galleries and a great little coffee shop.

I dressed myself in high waist jean shorts, a loose hot pink button up and some floral wedges. Seemed like the most appropriate, summery outfit to wear to walk around with ice cream and coffee in the sun.

Peek-A-Boo

Last Saturday, I had bigger plans than just watching Dance Moms and overeating jalapeno chips, I headed to the Detroit area for a day of shopping and a night of dancing! We headed to a mildly sketchy club where I shook what my momma gave me  (not much, thanks mom.) I got this silk top for super cheap at a boutique in Birmingham, Mich. called Complex and it was fate that they had it in my size with the peek-a-boo arm being on the side of my tattoo AND it had a small stain which made it even cheaper. SCORE.
