I'm lucky to have so many friends from a while back from college, high school and even elementary like my friends Courtney and Melissa who I visited and hung out with last weekend in Chicago! We spent early Saturday soaking up some sun on Courtney's rooftop deck with her precious dog, Molly, giving me a chance to wear this cute bathing suit most likely for the last time before summer's conclusion.

We spent the rest of Saturday eating food and shopping at the Randolph Street Market and visiting downtown. It's funny because I love jean cut offs so much and none of my friends I see on a regular basis sport them as often as I do. Or at all, for that matter. And then I see Court and Melissa wearing jean cut offs on Saturday too. It must be a Ravenna, Michigan thing.

We used to have sleepovers all the time when we in 5th, 6th, 7th grade and even now, 15+ years later, we can do the same thing, trading out juice for boxed wine (we're classy like that), painting our nails and still listening to Hanson.

i am still quite close with a number of friends from elementary and middle school... we still giggle just as much, gossip just as much, act just as goofy, but yes, generally, martinis or margaritas have replaced the cans of fresca. it is a beautiful thing to spend time with people who knew you as a child, and have been there as you grow and evolve.
