I also have been playing with lipstick, which I think adds to the Hocus Pocus look. I finally feel as if I'm at the age where I can wear it. Which just seems strange to me. I'll be 25 years old in a couple months. I've been pretty independent since I sailed ship six years ago and went off to college. I've been making adult decisions, paying for my own everything through college and now paying off student loans, living on my own and working. Yet, the action of wearing lipstick makes me feel old. Ha! Need to get over it, because this lipstick-wearing business is fun. Share with me your favorite shade!

Ah yes, the ol' lipstick debate. I tried wearing it a few years ago when I was still in Vancouver but all the girls in the office would comment on it and it would make me feel uncomfortable ( they were all younger than me) so when i moved to NY I finally made it a point to wear it everyday and it actually stuck. i can't go out or take pictures without first "putting on my lips" as my grammy would call it. haha.
I lov ethis look at on you, very a la SJP. That's definitely a compliement in my books!
I'm not a fan of fur unless it's faux, but I love lipstick. It's my favorite and to choose only one? Not possible! You would look great in M.A.C. Midimauve lipstick

I just turned 25 and I am also leaning towards the lipstick.
It started when I picked up a dark purple lipstick for a halloween costume last year. it was Revlon's matte lipstick in the color "Wine Not". I loved it and when I wore it to go out everyone complimented me on it! Then I picked up 3 more colors in the same brand but my favorite is strawberry suede. It is an orangey red. Seeing as you wear mostly neutrals I like it won't be too hard to incorporate a crazy lipstick color into your outfits!

My favorite lipsticks are a Laura Mercier red and a Revlon fuschia color. I don't wear either of them often, but they're great!

LOVE that coat on you! I just starting wearing lipstick as well. My favorite is Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick. I have it it tons of colors. It's cheap but works great!

I have the same lipstick hurdle to jump, and I'm 27 already... The one I actually wear from time to time is Chanel's Rouge Coco in Mademoiselle, which is just a shade darker than my own lip colour (the one in the Vanessa Paradis adverts if those ran in the US). All those Rouge Coco shades are very pretty, and I read in an interview with the guy who designed these colours that they were actually intended as a 'step up' to lipstick for those of us who normally just wear gloss (or chapstick in my case)
I've not gotten my fur coat out yet but this looks fab!!
I am 20 but i'm finally starting to want bright matte lips over glossy and sticky. I'm a big fan of red when I'm feeling confident, but I also love a nice, nude lip colour, and I finally found the right shade!!
